What is NDA ?

NDA (The National Defense Academy) This exam is conducted by the UPSC. Those student who want to Join the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, This exam is the Path for Aspirants. First Time NDA Exam is Conducted in 1954 By the UPSC. The Main Requirement is the age limit, which determines who can apply and who cannot. The NDA 2026 Exam is Conducted two times in a year, which is referred as NDA 1 and NDA 2 . Successful candidates undergo rigorous training and education at the NDA campus Khadakwasla, Pune. The Date of NDA 2026 Exam is officially released. NDA 1 exam will be held on 12th April 2026 and NDA 2 Exam will be held on 13th September 2026 and the Application Form started from 10th December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria: NDA 2026

Age: 16.5 to 19.5 years (usually for candidates born between January 2, 2007, and July 1, 2010 for NDA 1 2026)

Visual Requirement (Eye Health)

Basic Requirements Must have good eyesight. Clear Vision is Essential for Safety and Performance.
Visions Standards
  • Army Cadets: usually 6/6 or 6/9 Vision with or without Glass
  • Navy Cadets: Good Vision is Required, Glass allowed in Limits
  • Air Force Cadet: Need excellent vision with 6/6 vision without glass specially for Pilot
Colour and Night vision
  • Must have normal color vision
  • Night vision :They test how well you see at night and how accurately you judge distance

Syllabus: NDA 2026

MATHEMETICS: Determinants, Analytical Geometry of two and three Dimension, Trigonometry, Algebra, Differential Calculus, Vector, Algebra, Integral Calculus and Differential Equation, Statistics and Probability ETC

GENERAL ABILITY TEST: English (Vocabulary, compressions, cohesion, Preposition, General knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, General Science, Current Events etc.

Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern Totally Make UPSC so that Candidates can understand the overall structure of the exam. There is also Negative Marking in the exam and NDA Exam include Written Exam and Interview. SSB Interview

SSB interview is divided into two stages. Stage 1 and stage 2 you have to know about the interview of NDA, so here is the Explanation given below.
